How do office term requests and agreements work?

A term request is a member asking to take one of your private offices for 3, 6, 9 or 12 months at the monthly rate you listed. You approve or decline it under Private Offices → Term Requests. Approving does not book the office or move any money: the member signs the agreement first, you countersign on the same link, and only then is the office reserved for the term.

How a request moves

  1. Pending: the member has submitted the request with their company name, contact, number of people, move-in date and term length. The left menu shows a count next to Term Requests while any wait for you.

  2. Approved: you clicked approve. The agreement is generated and the member is asked to sign it. Declining sends the member the reason you typed.

  3. Signed: the member has signed. You get an email asking you to countersign.

  4. Executed: you have countersigned. The office is blocked for the whole term on your timeline, both sides receive the signed copy, and the term appears under Office Reservations → Memberships.

  5. A member can withdraw a pending request, and either side can view the request at any time with View request.

Every step emails the member and every team member of your space, so you have a record even if you rarely open the dashboard.

Your own agreements

Croissant provides a standard agreement. To use your own paperwork, open Private Offices → Agreement Studio, click New agreement, upload the PDF, show Croissant where each member’s details go (Document, then Details, then Preview) and publish it. Then attach it to an office under its Service Agreements tab, where you also set the signing order and can hide a document from members while keeping it for your team.

Good to know

  • Terms are 3, 6, 9 or 12 months. The member gives notice 60 days before the term ends.

  • The monthly rate is fixed for the term. You can change it only for a renewal, with 90 days’ notice given through Croissant.

  • When a request comes in, Croissant checks that the office is free for the first 30 days from the move-in date; you confirm the rest of the term when you review it.

  • Croissant collects the monthly charges and pays you 90%; the 10% fee is deducted from your payout and the member never sees it.

  • Signing is refused if the documents changed since the member read them; attach documents before approving.
