How do shared team hours work on Croissant?
Team Hours is a shared pool of coworking hours for your whole company. Every member on the Team hours plan draws from the same balance when they check in or host a guest, so nobody has a personal allowance to run out of or transfer. Admins see the balance under Team → Team Hours on the website; members see Team Hours and the time remaining on their account screen in the app and in the website header.
How hours are added
Buying a pack from Team → Team Hours adds its hours to the balance immediately. A pack is valid for 1 year from the day of purchase.
Croissant can also add hours for you, for example on an invoiced contract. These show as “Hours added” in the ledger.
How hours are used
“Checked in” and “Hosted a guest” lines deduct the length of each visit, with the space and the member’s name.
“Hours used” lines are usage Croissant records on your behalf, such as a booking made outside the app, with a description of what it was for. They are priced at the rate of the pack they come from and appear as “Other” on the Spend page.
When the balance is at zero, members on the Team hours plan can still check in. The extra time is charged at your team’s overage rate, in 30-minute blocks.
Good to know
When a pack reaches its end date, any hours left from it are removed. The ledger shows “Hours expired”.
Every admin gets an email when the balance falls to 20% of your latest pack (“Low hour balance”) and again at 10% (“Critical hour balance”). Each is sent once per pack.
