Why was I checked out automatically?
Every 10 minutes Croissant looks at every open visit and ends the ones that shouldn’t still be running. There are four reasons, and the “Checked out” email you receive names the one that applied. If you were still at the space, just tap Check In again.
The four reasons
You stayed past the visit limit. A visit ends 8 hours after check-in. Some spaces set their own limit, shown on the email. If support has enabled extended visits on your account, the limit is 16 hours. The email has a Request an adjustment link in case you actually left earlier.
The space closed for Croissant members. When the space’s Croissant hours end for the day, you are checked out, unless the space allows members to stay past closing. The email has the same adjustment link.
Your membership was paused. A pause that starts during a visit ends the visit.
You reached your plan’s limit. This only happens on older plans with no hourly billing. On current plans you can keep working and the extra time is billed at your plan’s hourly rate.
Good to know
An automatic check-out counts the time up to the moment it happened. Use the adjustment link within 5 days if you left earlier than that.
Guests still checked in are checked out with you.
Reservations and bookings are unaffected.
To work more than 8 hours in a day, check in again after the automatic check-out. The second visit counts separately.
