A New Direction

Croissant started with a simple idea: anyone should be able to walk into a great workspace, anywhere, and just get to work. For years that meant individuals. A freelancer in a new city, or a remote employee who needed somewhere to think that wasn't their kitchen table.

But the people using Croissant kept arriving in groups. A team coordinating a day together. A company trying to give thirty distributed employees the same quality of space the head office once provided. The need had quietly changed shape, and this quarter we changed with it.

Croissant is now built for teams. Not as a feature we bolted on, but as the focus of everything we build. Here are three things we shipped to get there, and what they add up to.

Built to Match

When the direction of a product changes, there's usually a moment where the way it looks falls behind the way it works. Croissant had reached that moment. We were building for teams, but everything still spoke to a single person finding a single desk.

So we rebuilt the experience from the ground up. We didn't do it for a fresh coat of paint. We did it to reflect what Croissant has become: a calmer, more confident space that feels less like a booking tool and more like the workspace layer a growing team can lean on.

It's a change you notice before you can name it. Things sit where you expect them, and the product feels like it knows where it's going. We think it finally does.

Team Credits

A workspace program for a team needs one thing before anything else: a shared way to pay for it. Team Credits are exactly that. A single pool of credits any member of your team can draw from, anywhere on the Croissant network.

No individual reimbursements. No one fronting the cost of a desk and chasing it later. You top up one balance, and your team spends from it the moment they need space.

What you get

• One shared balance. Top up once, and any teammate can use it across every space on the network.
• Spend it on everything. Coworking check-ins, guests, conference rooms, and private offices all draw from the same pool.
• A complete ledger. Every credit is accounted for, with who used it, which space and room, and the running balance after each transaction.

It's the financial backbone of a team workspace program, the piece that turns a pile of individual memberships into something a company can actually run.

Private Offices

Coworking is perfect for a day of focus or a quick catch-up. But teams eventually want a room of their own: a dedicated space to gather, plan, and build together.

This quarter we opened private offices on Croissant, and we built them to flex around how teams actually work. Book a room for a single day to bring everyone together, or hold it for weeks or months when you're deep in a project. There's no lease and no long-term commitment. You pay a daily rate from the same Team Credits as everything else, and only for the days you use.

That flexibility is the whole point. A company can scale a space up for an intense sprint and let it go the moment the work is done, without signing for square footage it won't need next quarter. The office bends to the team, instead of the team planning around the office.

And for the spaces that host them, listing an office takes a couple of minutes, or comes across automatically from the tools they already use, with calendars staying in sync on their own.

This Is the Foundation

Croissant started by giving individuals a membership to work anywhere, and that will always be at the heart of what we do. Now that same access scales to entire teams: one shared budget, every kind of space from a hot desk to a private office, and an experience built to carry all of it.
