Kisi and Croissant integration guide

Connect Kisi to Croissant in Minutes

Kisi is a modern access control platform that lets you manage who enters your space — all from the cloud. Once connected to Croissant, members with active bookings can unlock your doors directly from the Croissant app, eliminating the need for key cards or fobs.

Here's how to get everything connected.

Step 1: Grant Croissant Access

To get started, Croissant needs user-level access to your Kisi organization so we can manage lock permissions for your members.

What You Need to Do

  1. Access your Kisi portal — Sign in to your Kisi account and navigate to the Users section.
  2. Invite Croissant — Add admin@getcroissant.com as a user on your Kisi portal. This allows Croissant to communicate with your locks and grant access to Croissant members.

Step 2: Collect Your Kisi Details

Next, grab three key details from your Kisi dashboard:

  1. Access name — A friendly name for the lock (e.g., Front Door, Main Entrance)
  2. Domain — Your Kisi organization domain namespace (e.g., workspace)
  3. Lock ID — The unique identifier for the specific lock you want to connect. You'll find it in the browser URL when viewing a lock (e.g., kisi.io/organization/.../place/.../locks/45678)

Finding Your Domain

You can find the domain slug under your organization settings in the Kisi portal. It appears in the browser URL as the namespace for your organization.

Finding Your Lock ID

Navigate to a specific lock in Kisi and look at the browser URL — the lock ID is the number at the end of the path.

With your Kisi details in hand, head to the Croissant partner portal to link your locks.

How to Connect

  1. Sign into the Croissant partner portal
  2. Go to Integrations > Access Control
  3. Choose Kisi and hit Configure
  4. Fill in the Access name, Domain, and Lock ID

Step 5: Verify Your Setup

Before going live, run a quick test to make sure everything is working as expected.

How to Run a Test

  1. Open the Access Control section in the partner portal
  2. Click the gear icon next to your Kisi lock
  3. Select Test

A successful test means Croissant can communicate with your Kisi lock and your integration is ready for members. If something doesn't look right, verify your domain and lock ID, or contact our team for assistance.

Step 6: Scale to More Doors

Have multiple entry points or meeting rooms? You can connect as many Kisi locks as you need by repeating steps 3 through 5.

For Each Additional Lock

  1. Head to Integrations > Access Control > Kisi
  2. Click Add to set up another lock
  3. Enter the access name, domain, and the new lock ID
  4. Run a Test to confirm it's working

Your domain stays the same across all locks — only the lock ID changes for each door.
